Today on the Brock Jackson Show, Birgit Arnstein, President, Osoyoos Lake Water Quality Society talked about their big public event on Wednesday July 24th at 1:00 PM at the Osoyoos Activity Centre near Gyro Park.
Learn first hand how you can protect Osoyoos Lake from invasive aquatic species such as Zebra & Quagga Mussels and prevent salmon and trout from dying from a whirling disease parasite.
The event is free and will include a boat inspection with Major, a highly trained dog that can detect invasive aquatic species with its nose; a boat decontamination demonstration and special presentation about how citizens can prevent invasive species and whirling disease in Osoyoos Lake.
